Hair tinsel, also known as sparkle strands, are thin, shimmery strands hand-tied to your natural hair. It’s perfect for all ages and for anyone who wants a pop of color without the commitment, maintenance, or damage of traditional hair dye. There are over 20 colors to choose from, from bold red to baby blue.

HAND-TIED SPARKLES ⋆˙⟡
Lightweight sparkle strands tied to a single piece of your natural hair for a seamless, sparkly look. This is the most popular option and requires the least upkeep.
SPARKLE CLUSTERS ⋆˙⟡
Chunkier sparkle pieces installed with microbeads for a bold, early 2000s-inspired statement look. These require more upkeep. Available for private appointments and select pop-ups only.FEATHER EXTENSIONS ⋆˙⟡
Natural feather hair extensions installed with a microbead for a colorful, boho inspired statement look.

Tinsel longevity varies based on hair type and installation method (hand-tied, sparkle clusters, or feather extensions)
HAND-TIED SPARKLES ⋆˙⟡
Typically last 2 to 8 weeks. Some clients keep strands longer depending on hair type, shedding cycle, and aftercare. Because tinsel is attached to your natural hair, it will shed naturally when those strands shed. This may happen in the shower, while brushing, or while styling. Thicker or more textured hair often holds longer. Very fine or silky hair, especially on children, may have shorter retention.SPARKLE CLUSTERS ⋆˙⟡
Sparkle clusters can last a few weeks depending on your hair type. Because they are secured with a microbead, very silky or oily hair may cause the bead to loosen and slide out sooner. Hair with more texture or grip tends to have longer retention.FEATHER EXTENSIONS ⋆˙⟡
Feather extensions typically last several weeks depending on hair type and aftercare. Because they are installed with a microbead attached to multiple strands of hair, retention depends on how well your hair holds the bead. Once the feather grows out, the bead can be opened with pliers for removal.

HAND-TIED SPARKLES ⋆˙⟡
Each individual tinsel strand is hand-tied to a single strand of your natural hair using a small latch tool. No glue, heat, or chemicals are used. The knot is lightweight and designed to move naturally with your hair. This is the most popular option and requires the least upkeep.SPARKLE CLUSTERS ⋆˙⟡
Multiple tinsel strands installed using a small microbead for a chunkier, highlighted sparkle look. Unlike hand-tied sparkles, the bead attaches to several strands of hair near the root. Because of this, clusters require more upkeep than hand-tied sparkles.FEATHER EXTENSIONS ⋆˙⟡
Natural feather extensions installed using a small microbead for a colorful, statement look. Like sparkle clusters, the bead attaches to several strands of hair near the root.

HAND-TIED SPARKLES ⋆˙⟡
These fall out naturally as your hair sheds. No special removal is needed.SPARKLE CLUSTERS & FEATHER EXTENSIONS ⋆˙⟡
These may loosen and slide out on their own. If they do not, the microbead must be opened with pliers for safe removal once grown out. Do NOT pull them out!

Yes! You can wash and shampoo your hair as usual.
Wet hair is more delicate and sheds more easily. After washing, gently brush from the bottom up while supporting the root.
Avoid applying conditioner directly to the roots, as it can make the hair slippery and loosen the knot or microbead.
-
Yes! You can straighten, curl, and blow dry your hair as usual.
Hair tinsel and feather extensions are heat safe up to 375°F. Keep your hot tools at or below this temperature.
Avoid placing direct heat on the knot or bead.
Blow drying, heat brushes, and tight tension styles can cause tinsel to fall out sooner. Remember, tinsel is tied to your natural hair, so if your natural hair sheds or is pulled, the tinsel will come out with it!
-
It is not recommended to dye or bleach your hair while sparkles or feathers are installed. Hair color and bleach can alter the color of the tinsel or feather, loosen the installation, or change its texture.
For best results, schedule your hair color appointment before your sparkle or feather install.

Hand-tied Sparkles blend with naturally curly hair. How well they blend depends on your curl pattern, products, and styling routine.
Finger coil the tinsel together with a small section of your hair to help it take shape. Some strands may sit slightly straighter than your natural curls. If that happens, use a curling iron on a small section of hair with the tinsel to better match your curl pattern.
Note: Sparkle clusters and feather extensions are heavier and will not curl on their own or with finger coiling. You will need to use a curling iron if you want them to blend with natural curls.
-
Sparkle clusters are bundles of tinsel secured to multiple strands of hair with a microbead for a fuller, chunkier sparkle. Think bold, early 2000s highlights, but sparkly.
Because clusters are attached to multiple strands of your natural hair, they require extra care.
Remember- clusters are attached to multiple hair strands, not just one! Rough brushing or pulling can rip out hair where the bead is installed. Brush gently from the bottom up and support the root.
Heat tools are safe as long as they do not touch the bead. Avoid heavy conditioners near the bead when showering.
Note: Beaded clusters do not curl on their own because they are heavier than a single hand-tied sparkle. You will need a curling iron if you want them to blend with natural curls.
-
Feather extensions are natural feathers installed into your hair using a small microbead. The bead attaches to several strands of your natural hair near the root to keep the feather secure.
They can be washed, brushed, and styled along with your natural hair. Heat tools are safe as long as they do not touch the bead.
Feathers are a fun, colorful statement and can be curled or straightened to blend with your natural hair.
Note: Feather extensions do not curl on their own because they are heavier than a single hand-tied sparkle. You will need a curling iron if you want them to blend with natural curls.
